The tiny HP Veer for AT&T can't revive the fortunes of HP's webOS smartphone line.
Vertical
The teeny, tiny HP Veer is a beautiful little phone, but it's not capable enough to carry the weight of an entire smartphone platform by itself.
Horizontal
The Veer has a 2.6-inch, 320-by-400 screen, which makes Web pages look cramped.
Back
The Veer has a poor-quality 5-megapixel camera on the back, as well as an unusual magnetic charging/headphone jack.
Open
The HP Veer's keyboard is very pleasant to use, as long as you don't have large fingers. The Web browser displays pages accurately, including Flash content.
Profile
The HP Veer's volume and power buttons jut out slightly from its body.
Controls
The magnetic charging/headphone jack is one of my big complaints about the Veer; to attach headphones, you need to clip on a very lose-able little accessory.
