Samsung Messager Touch SCH-R630 (U.S. Cellular)

he Samsung Messager Touch SCH-R630 is a solid texting device for budget-minded U.S. Cellular customers, but it's missing too many other popular features to be a leader.

Front

The Samsung Messager Touch SCH-R630 measures 4.1 by 2.1 by 0.6 inches (HWD) and weighs 3.8 ounces. 

Keyboard

The slide-out QWERTY keyboard features four rows of rectangular keys. It's easy to type quickly on the Messager Touch. 

Back

The Messager Touch's 2-megapixel camera has no flash or auto-focus. Test photos were decent, though I normally expect a little more detail from a 2-megapixel sensor. 

Right

The standard-size 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted microSD card slot, and easy-to-use music player app are all welcome features on the Messager Touch. 

Angle

The Messager Touch's 2.6-inch, plastic resistive, touch screen LCD sports 240-by-320-pixel resolution. Touch response was just okay; I had to press hard at times, which made dialing numbers a pain.
