2011 Ford F- 250 Super Duty Diesel Review

There are still a few escapees from the LaBrea Tar Pits roaming our highways, and this brutal Ford is one of them. At over 20 feet long, and 7 feet high, this F-250’s skeleton ought to be on display at the Museum of Natural History. Joking aside, though, if you plan to tow a big boat or mobile home, the Super Duty Diesel is just exactly what you need. The F-250, with a minimum tow rating of 11,800 pounds, will rise to meet any occasion, especially if you equip it with the new 6.7 liter Turbo V8 Diesel, which produces an amazing 735 lb-ft of torque at just 1,600 RPM. With that much grunt on hand so low in the RPM spectrum, you need to take extra care not to spin the rear wheels, especially when the eight foot cargo bed is empty. In fact, the F-250 really needs 4-wheel drive to maintain traction in damp conditions, because it’s way too easy to get this rig sideways in the wet in rear wheel drive.

Olympus E-5

The splashproof, dustproof Olympus E-5 is a good option if you shoot photos and video in unfriendly environments, but with middling low-light performance and limited video-capture options it's not the best D-SLR you can buy for the money.

Canon's PowerShot SX130 IS ($249.99 list) rides the line between point-and-shoot and D-SLR with "many of the same features as a higher-end camera"
such as 12x zoom and 60 millimeter lens that can produce images at 12.1 megapixels. Throw in a built-in pop-up flash, 3-inch LCD display and 720p HD video capability to make this camera a step forward from the PowerShot SD1400 IS (4 stars, $229.99 list). With even more features where that come from, Canon calls its PowerShot SX130 IS "the ideal camera for making the good times last."

Fujifilm FinePix J40

A 12.2 megapixel point-and-shoot camera that's just 20 millimeters thin, the FinePix J40 ($99.99 list) is a compact that Fujifilm claims is "affordable, easy-to-use and produces great images." The FinePix J40's list of features—including a 3x zoom lens, a 3-inch LCD screen,
a Panoramic Shooting Mode and more—are crammed into a 3.6 by 2.2-inch frame that Fujifilm claims "will deliver fantastic pictures with minimal effort ."
Design and Features
The FinePix J40, while certainly not the retro FinePix X100, comes in a petite, black frame with a double coated gloss lacquer that makes use of every last bit of space it has. Crammed into the front is its 17.1 millimeter lens and a small flash accompanied by nothing more than the Fujifilm logo. The back end is largely comprised of the camera's 3-inch LCD screen and its standard menu controls and zoom.
Speaking of which, the 3x zoom lens on this compact point-and-shoot is supported by a Panoramic Shooting Mode, which literally pieces together three consecutive shots into one larger panoramic image. The FinePix J40 also contains SR AUTO, a feature that automatically recognizes the scene it's about to shoot from six different modes and chooses accordingly. Another automated feature is the camera's Face Detection, which finds faces in the shot and sets the focus and exposure on them rather than the background.
Two features that seem to go hand-in-hand in the FinePix J40 are its Picture Stabilization, which reduces motion blur, and video-capture capability. Finally, Fujifilm claims that it has spent 70 years into perfecting the light sensitivity and flash systems of its cameras so that the FinePix J40 can take photos in the dark with less noise. At just under $100 for the compact FinePix J40, Fujifilm says, "Just slip it in your pocket and go and have fun!"

Design and Features
The SD1300 IS, in all of its five colors, comes in a minimalistic frame, leaving room just for what's necessary. This camera shows nothing more than its 4x zoom lens, a thin flash on the front and Canon's signature logo.
On the back to the right of the 2.7-inch LCD screen, you'll find all the standard buttons and features of a point-and-shoot, but also a toggle switch to begin shooting 720p HD video. But this camera has plenty more to say for itself from the inside.

The Casio Exilim EX-S200 delivers good image quality, in a thin body at a sub-$200 price, but its 20-frames-per-second HD video capture is a disappointment.
The Casio S200 is slimmer than your average compact camera, but it turned in only average performance with significant noise at ISO 400.

Aston Martin One-77 supercar may be much higher valuable that the $1,4 millions asked by the company. The car is painted in pearlescent white combined with a red leather interior.
Under the hood there is a 7.3 liter V12 engine that delivers a total of 750 HP and 553 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a six-speed robotized manual gearbox. Those astronomical performance numbers and the One-77’s 3,300 pound curb weight will rocket the car from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds and to an impressive top speed of 220 mph.
